About

Born and “semi-raised” (Isn’t there a kid in all of us?) in the Mid-West, Marc’s first attraction to “go fast” machines went down the 1/4 mile. Try as he might to hang on to the Daddy Garlits, RAMCHARGERS A/FX Dodge and A/FX Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt era of the sport, he wandered over to the local 1 mile and 1/2 mile dirt ovals. It was all over…if it raced it had to turn.

That led to an aborted five year career as a figure eight driver that ended with a T-bone crash at the intersection and calls for an immediate appointment with the nearest shrink. The appointment was missed.

A 20 year interlude with the World’s Greatest Navy started a love for Formula One during seven years stationed in Japan. Also during that time Marc had a chance to attend the NASCAR events on the road circuit at Suzuka and the Winston West Series event on the Twin Ring Motegi oval.

The end result of over 40 years of mostly sniping from the sport’s sidelines is well over two hundred NASCAR events, two thousand local bull ring races and five F1 events attended…and very definate opinions on what’s right or wrong with the sport.
