Team Switzerland Takes A1GP Sprint Race
Maybe it was an extra boost created by having your birthday fall on race day. Or finally a chink in Team France’s armor has shown itself. Whatever the cause, the promise given by Neel Jani’s pole winning efforts Saturday were fullfilled in Sunday’s A1GP Dubai Sprint race as the Team Switzerland driver led from wire to wire in taking the 15 lap event.
Drama started even before the green flew as Team Lebanon with Basil Shaaban at the wheel failed to start the Sprint race after spinning off on the formation lap and will therefore start the 30 lap Feature race at the back of the grid.
Coming off the flying start Jani led into the first turn with Ireland, Brazil and Great Britian all streaming past outside pole starter France. Team Netherlands Jos “The Boss
