Possible Blow to Motorsport in Bahrain?
Just two weeks after the death of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which caused organizers of the A1 Grand Prix series to suspend the Indonesia round of the inaugural championship, comes the news that Bahrain Crown Prince, Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of his Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has been killed in a car crash.
It’s not known what affect, if any, the death of the fourteen-year-old might have on the forthcoming Formula One Grand Prix, scheduled to take place on March 11, just 55 days away, or indeed other motorsport in Bahrain. (SOURCE: PitPass)
