A1 Team China and the most popular Sports Channel- China Central Television 5 (CCTV 5) held a media conference on 15th Jan, 2006. It was the sign that the most powerful media in China will be strategic partner of A1 Team China.

They will organize conferences regularly in different part of China to promote A1 Grand Prix and A1 Team China; produce short clips to broadcast on CCTV 5 and Internet; manage related media to focus on A1GP all the time, especially before Shanghai Race in April, including national Newspaper, CCTV website, main portal webs, etc; finding sponsors based on CCTV 5 database; involve in the negotiation between A1 Team China and potential sponsors as the most powerful credit in Sports market; manage to put A1GP races and A1 Team China in to various promotional program.

More opportunities can be explored after this conference, some of the important leaders in China’s Sports society include: Mr. ZaiQing Yu (Vice-Minister of China Sports Administration), Mr. YuSheng Sun (Vice-President of CCTV), Mr. TianShu Shi (Chairman of FASC), HePing Jiang (Head of CCTV 5), Mr. Wei Ruan (Head of CCTV 5 Promotion Ltd). More than 60 media guests attended the Conference which started from 6.00 in the evening, the Conference was held for 90 minutes. The News were spread out through CCTV 5 news (6 times a day) and newspapers, magazines, and important web portals.

Drivers will also attend another PR events in Chengdu on 18th and 19th Jan organized by CCTV 5. We are looking forward to having more activities in China to introduce all the A1 Teams if they are interested in promoting their drivers, sponsors, countries in China.
