Aussie Team Scores Big Stateside

Australian-owned Hawk Racing Speedcar team based out of Newcastle, NSW have captured the 20th Annual O’Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma with American Late Model hotshoe Tim McCreadie from Watertown, New York behind the wheel!

The potent #1A Spike/Hawk combination from the Steve Smith Hawk racing stable allowed McCreadie to advance from behind the likes of Jay Drake, Cory Kruseman, Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Kasey Kahne and Jerry Coons Jnr from the tenth starting grid to take the win in the 50-lap A-Main.

McCreadie’s stampede for the lead cemented when passing Jay Drake on lap 35 of the 50-lap race at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

Regarded worldwide, as arguably the pinnacle of dirt Speedway events with an astonishing 269 entries including current Nextel Cup NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart, Tim McCreadie held to famed Golden Driller Trophy aloft after four-days of competition.
