Raking in the Bucks “Monaco Style”
Taking a lead from the residents of Monaco, Durbanites owning property overlooking the temporary street circuit laid out on Snell Parade having been renting out their views for this weekend’s A1 Grand Prix of Nations.
A radio newsflash reported that one enterprising penthouse owner is renting out his apartment with views over the circuit for $25,000, while others have been asking Rand 900 per head for people to take in the racing from their balconies, with drinks thrown in. Nice business if you can get it. However, with ticket sales approaching sell-out proportions, it might be the only way to catch the action.
Hmmm… I wonder if Durbin will also feature the other traditional Monaco entertainment, Fast cars and Fast Women?
In other news A1 Team Japan has announced they will not b participating in sound seven of the Grand Prix of Nations.
