Formula Nippon’s Team LeMans Signs F1 Veteran
Team LeMans announced the signing of a contract with former F1 and IRL driver Tora Takagi and Tetsuya Kataoka for Fornula Nippon this year.
Takagi came back to Japan from USA in last year and participated in SUPER GT Championship and Formula Nippon. He joined Team CERUMO, drove the Toyota SUPRA as pair with Yuji Tachikawa and won the championship wonderfully. However he ended with no point in Formula Nippon. Takagi who is the champion of 2000 Formula Nippon is aiming a comback with new team.
On the other hand, Kataoka was the eleventh place in Formula Nippon last year. He renewed a contract with Team LeMans this year.
On February 24, the kickoff party of Formula Nippon is to be held in Tokyo, and driver lineup of each team will become clear
