Solid IndyCar Start For Scott Dixon
New Zealand driver Scott Dixon has had a solid start to the new Indy Racing League season. He has finished 5th in this morning’s season-opening Toyota Indy 300 in Miami.
The race was won by Dixon’s Chip Ganassi Team mate Dan Wheldon.
However the race has been tinged by sadness following a high speed crashed in practice which claimed the life of American Paul Dana.
Dana was killed when he slammed into a car driven by Ed Carpenter at about 200mph after Carpenter had spun, hit the wall and nearly slowed to a stop.
This year Dana joined the Rahal-Letterman team, named after owners TV talk show host David Letterman and racing legend Bobby Rahal.
