Monday’s Results:

Testing for this weekends first round of the 2006 AF3 Series continued today with several teams shaking down new cars and or drivers

James Winslow topped the times Monday in his JA Motorsports Dallara TOM’S 304, setting a 1m:28.8 second lap. Tyson Sy was out for the first time in his new Dallara 304 and was close on 1m:29.0. Dillon Battistini posted a 1m:29.4 despite an off into the tyre wall whilst Dado Pena timed at 1m:30.1 in his old Dallara 301, just outpacing Moreno Soeprapto on 1m:30.2.

Next was Gaby dela Meced in her Promotions Class Speedtech 398, setting a 1m:33.3 whilst Michele Bumgarner set a 1m34.3 in her Team Goddard Dallara 398. This was the first run for Bumgarner in an F3 car.

Tuesday’s Results:

Ali Jackson topped the practice time sheets today with Dado Pena second and James Winslow third. The competition is getting hot for this weekend’s first round of the AF3 Series at the Batangas Race Circuit on May 6/7.

Jackson set a 1m 28.2 lap time on new tyres in his Aran Racing Dallara 304 TOM’S whilst Dado Pena posted 1m 28.6 in his Dallara 301 TOM’S using older rubber. Next up was James Winslow in his JA Motorsport Dallara 304 TOM’S setting 1m 28.9 with his team mate a second behind on 1m 29.9. Moreno Soeprapto split them in his Speedtech Asia Dallara 301 TOM’S with a 1m 29.5.

The only promotion class runner today was Michele Bumgarner who set a 1m 32.1. The female racer has impressed with her progress, improving every time she sits in the car. Her time today is the fastest Promotion Class time of the year.
