Kodai Tsukakoshi Sets the Pace at Motegi

On May 10th and 11th, All-Japan F3 offcial test took the place at Twin-ring Motegi where round 3 will be open. Kodai Tsukakoshi (Honda Team Mugen) set the overall top time, Adrian Sutil who drove the third car of Midland F1 at Formula 1 European GP last week took the second place.

In the mornig session of day 1, it was chilly and drizzle, Roberto Streit (INGING) set the pace in the wet condition. In the afternoon session, Tsukakoshi lapped in 1′47.267 and it was the fastest lap of the day.

It was rain again in the morning session of day 2, and INGING drivers are quick in the wet condition, Streit and Jonny Reid took 1-2. The weather improved for the better in an interval, and track condition became dry in the afternoon session. In the dry condition, Tsukakoshi set the pace again, and he updated his best of day 1. After all Tsukakoshi topped with lap 1′47.264, and Sutil, Fabio Carbone (ThreeBond) and Streit followed. Last round race winner Takuya Izawa (Honda Toda Racing) was the fifth place.

Next round of All-Japan F3 will be held at Twin-ring Motegi on May 27th and 28th.
