A1 Team Lebanon Drivers Continue with Summer Programmes
Basil Shaaban and Graham Rahal are keeping busy over the summer months during the A1GP off-season. Rahal continues to build his racing experience, racing yet another car, this time in the support race for the Formula One US Grand Prix.
Rahal, who competed in the final three races of the A1 season, is currently racing in the Champ Car Atlantic Championship and became the youngest driver to win a race in the championship last month, after a great win in Monterrey. Rahal will be competing in the Indy Pro Series Liberty Challenge at the Indianapolis Circuit on the same day as the F1 qualifying on Saturday 1 July.
Basil Shaaban has also been behind the wheel of a race car, testing a Formula Three car for Comtec Racing. Shaaban managed 70 trouble free laps around the Indy Circuit at Brands Hatch, taking two seconds off his original time by the end of the day. Shaaban is due to make his debut in the National class of the series later this year.
