Dado Pena set the fastest time of the day and headed the times for two of the three practice sessions Friday. Ali Jackson topped the time sheet for the second session. Michele Bumgarner was the fastest in the Promotions Class. The top six overall were covered by less than three tenths of a second promising close racing tomorrow.

Tyson Sy was second fastest in his 301 chassis with Jackson third and Moreno Soeprapto a fine fourth, like Sy pedaling a 301 car. Championship leader, James Winslow was fifth with Charlie Hollings sixth. In the Promotions Class Michele Bumgarner was two tenths clear of Philip Forsman.

The action starts on Saturday with Round 15, which was postponed from the previous Sentul event due to delays as a result of Moreno Soeprapto’s fiery accident. Winslow will start on pole and he hopes to keep out of trouble in order to conserve his championship lead. Tyson Sy and Ali Jackson will start second and third respectively and both will be out to beat Winslow in order give themselves a chance of winning the championship. Jackson lies 31 points behind Winslow whilst Sy is 42 points adrift.

There are a total of 85 points to be won this weekend so the championship battle is not yet over. Pena, Soeprapto and Battistini will start at the back due their problems in Sentul. Pena qualified but failed to race after a qualifying accident whilst Soeprapto is now with Kinetic F3 due to his Aran Racing 301 car being destroyed in Sentul and Battistini has swapped teams, now driving for Aran Racing.
