KIWI Sprintcar Title on the Line
Western Springs Speedway holds its Boxing night spectacular tonight with prizemoney of $40,000 in the final round of the international sprintcar series.
Four American drivers will be chasing the title - Joey Saldana, Craig Dollansky, Jason Statler and Ricky Logan, but the top local drivers are determined not to let the Americans dominate.
New Zealand champion, Jamie McDonald has already shown he can keep the Americans honest, while multiple New Zealand champions Kerry Jones and Allan Wakeling, can never be discounted.
The meeting will feature the fifth round of the Springs national championship for midgets and TQ midgets, where the racing between NZ champion, Michael Pickens, Brad Mosen and Shane Alach has been sensational.
