Mark Skaife Quickest in Eastern Creek Practice
Mark Skaife continued his phenomenal run at Sydney’s Eastern Creek circuit, setting the fastest time in practice for the second round of the V8 Supercars championship.
The 40-year-old Holden veteran is the most successful driver in the history of Eastern Creek with six round wins, four pole positions and nine consecutive front-rows.
He also holds the qualifying and lap records.
Second fastest ahead of qualifying on Saturday was Ford driver Mark Winterbottom, followed by Holden’s defending series champion Garth Tander.
Round one winner Jamie Whincup was sixth fastest in his Ford.
