Michael Dalle Stelle joins Durango’s GP2 Asia team for the remainder of the season.

Mohammed Bin Sulayem; President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) today hosted a press conference for the My Qi-Meritus.Mahara team which has arrived in Dubai to participate in the Grand Racing Weekend at the Dubai Autodrome next weekend, 5-6 December 2008.

They started their relationship as master and student but now, they are team-mates who are determined to bring the GP2 Asia Series team title to Malaysia.

It seems like Davide Valsecchi is making Sunday wins his specialty. After he dominated the last race of the GP2 Series in Monza last month, he drove from pole to victory in this morning’s sprint race in the opening event of the GP2 Asia Series.

Dams’ Kobayashi may have been the quickest man on track today at the opening race of the GP2 Asia Series in China, but it was Roldan Rodriguez who claimed victory at the end of the 34 laps after the Japanese went too wide in the last stages of the event.

Roldan Rodriguez stole the thunder on the 5.451km Shanghai International Circuit in China as they take to the track on the same weekend of the Formula One Chinese Grand Prix.

My Team Qi-Meritus.Mahara has confirmed it will compete in the second GP2 Asia season with two cars carrying numbers 18 and 19. The team will test a number of drivers on the 8th and 9th October during the GP2 Asia official tests on the Chinese GP track before announcing the 2009 driver lineup.

After a successful opening season which started in Dubai last January and ended at the same circuit in mid-April, the GP2 Asia Series will see its second season open in Shanghai.
