It was an exciting final qualifying session for the 2008-2009 Speedcar season, as Johnny Herbert stormed to the top of the times with only three minutes remaining.

Jean Alesi held off a charging Christopher Zoechling to win a close finish in the opening Speedcar Series race at Dubai Autodrome on Friday afternoon.
