Despite setting the fastest time in today’s (Friday) practice for the Clipsal 500, Jamie Whincup is not convinced that he has the fastest car in Adelaide.
Australia’s NASCAR star Marcos Ambrose has been thwarted in his attempt for a shock return to the V8 Supercar series for the season-ending race in Sydney.
Ford Performance Racing’s Mark Winterbottom capped off a near-perfect weekend with victory in race four of the Nikon SuperGP at Surfers Paradise.
Team Vodafone’s Jamie Whincup took the inaugural race victory on the streets of Townsville in the first race of the Dunlop Townsville 400 despite mid-race contact with a lapped car.
Holden driver Todd Kelly was close to tears after ending his V8 Supercar drought with victory in race one at Symmons Plains in Tasmania - a win he rated second in importance to his Bathurst triumph in 2005.
Jack Perkins will take over the #11 Jack Daniel’s Racing Commodore for the rest of the 2008 V8 Supercar Championship Series. Team owner Larry Perkins confirmed that starting from this weekend’s round at Surfers Paradise, his 22-year-old son Jack would the Commodore drive instead of 21-year-old Shane Price.
The Bathurst 1000 is a 1000 kilometre touring car race held annually at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
The race traces its lineage back to a production car race held at Phillip Island in 1960, called the Armstrong 500. Since then 51 races have taken place under the combined history of two [...]
Glenfords Racing: Alex Davison scored his fourth Top 10 Bathurst 1000 finish from five starts today, after finishing 10th with Fabian Coulthard for Glenfords Racing.
While the result continues Davison’s impressive record at Mount Panorama, it was a case of what might have been, with fuel pickup problems costing the team a probable Top Five finish.

Baird finished second behind a masterful Fiore performance in wet and slippery conditions, clinching the 2008 Carrera Cup Australia Championship.
Baird is now [...]

Russell “The Enforcer” Ingall has predicted a crash fest at the Australian V8 Supercars’ inaugural Hamilton street race in New Zealand this month.
The new 3.4km circuit is fast but sprinkled with tight corners making for decent passing opportunities, particularly at the turn two hairpin.
“Hamilton’s going to be risky,” Ingall said today ahead of the April [...]
V8 Supercars Australia has its eye set on a standalone Championship event in Singapore, not as a support category to the Formula One as first thought.
As Singapore prepares to host its inaugural F1 night race this September, recent paddock talk has suggested that V8 Supercars could be the perfect daytime support event if a deal [...]
